MEET VICTORIA
Hello, I’m Victoria
I was born in a small but mighty country called Bulgaria and came to America as an eighteen-year-old refugee. My life eventually carried me from Europe to California, to North Africa, through motherhood, devastating separation, and a homecoming that most would say was impossible.
I have been writing this story for fifteen years.
I wrote parts of it to heal and survive. I wrote others because I was afraid the details would disappear. For years, I wondered whether I should release it at all.
Now, I am transforming an empty room in my home into the place where I will finish, print, sign, assemble, and mail Letters from Mars.
I do not know whether 500 readers will say yes. But, I finally know that I am ready to claim my life and send it into the world.
Why Letters from Mars?
I have always considered myself the most ordinary person who has lived an extraordinary life.
The events of this story are mine, but the emotions within them are human – love, loss, motherhood, impossible choices, resilience, victories, and life’s miracles.
As you receive my story, you may recognize parts of your own – and perhaps see your life, your relationships, and yourself a little differently.
Perhaps it will help you embrace what you have lived, too.
Why letters instead of a book?
Because this story was not lived all at once.
It unfolded through waiting, uncertainty, distance, hope, and many magical moments and miracles that changed everything. I want you to experience it in the same way – slowly, intimately, and with time to feel each part before the next arrives.
